Crestron Introduces AutoMeasure: AI-Powered Configuration Feature for Automate VX Systems

Rockleigh, NJ – January 27, 2026 – Crestron Electronics, a global leader in delivering scalable, intuitive video experiences and workplace collaboration technology, today announced AutoMeasure, an AI-powered configuration feature designed to simplify and accelerate the deployment of Automate VX multi-camera systems. Integrated directly into the Intelligent Video Room Designer tool, AutoMeasure uses advanced computer vision and spatial intelligence to automatically detect and calculate placement of cameras and microphones, ensuring every system is aligned and optimized for a high-quality collaboration experience.

As hybrid work continues to shape modern collaboration, organizations are demanding solutions that deliver consistency, accuracy, and ease of deployment. AutoMeasure brings automation and AI into AV configuration, reducing the manual measurement step of deploying Automate VX to 15 minutes. With precise calculations of device placement, integrators can deliver installations that are accurate, consistent, and reliable. This creates a better collaboration environment, resulting in a more seamless and refined experience for both in-room and remote participants.

“AutoMeasure represents a new chapter in intelligent video deployment,” said Joel Mulpeter, senior director of product marketing at Crestron. “By combining computer vision AI, and automation, we are giving integrators a smarter, faster, and more accurate way to install Automate VX systems. The result is impressive outcomes for everyone in the meeting.”

Artificial Intelligence for Deployments, Benefits for End Users and Channel Partners
AutoMeasure is more than a technical upgrade; it is a breakthrough that transforms how Automate VX systems are deployed and maintained. By taking the guesswork and manual labor out of room configuration, AutoMeasure empowers organizations to achieve flawless results on day one while giving integrators the speed and confidence they need to scale projects without compromise. The outcome is a win for everyone: end users gain reliable, high-quality collaboration experiences, and channel partners unlock new levels of efficiency, accuracy, and profitability.

Key Features of AutoMeasure:

  • AI-Powered Precision: Uses computer vision and ArUco marker technology to detect AutoMeasure cubes and calculate device positions automatically.
  • 3D Spatial Awareness: Captures X, Y, Z coordinates and angles for cameras and microphones, eliminating manual measurement.
  • Real-Time Updates: Seamlessly integrates calculated data into the Intelligent Video Room Designer for immediate accuracy.
  • Verification Tools: Generates a positioning accuracy report that validates device placement and system performance.
  • Reusable Kits: AutoMeasure cubes and kits are designed for repeated use across multiple installations, reducing waste and supporting sustainability.

Benefits For End Users:

  • Faster, Smarter Installs: Automated spatial analysis ensures systems are configured correctly the first time.
  • Increased Accuracy: AI-powered measurement significantly reduces the risk of human error.
  • Lower Costs: Reduces the need for expensive service calls to correct misaligned systems.

Benefits For Integrators:

  • Higher Efficiency: Cuts setup time by removing manual measurement tasks.
  • Consistency Across Projects: Ensures installations meet professional standards with a documented accuracy report.
  • Stronger Client Relationships: Demonstrates precision and reliability, leading to repeat business and premium service opportunities.
  • Profitability Gains: Streamlined workflow free up technician hours for additional projects, potentially boosting overall revenue.

“Integrators have been asking for tools that reduce friction and help them deliver better outcomes more efficiently,” added Mulpeter. “AutoMeasure is our answer. It not only simplifies the process but elevates the entire Automate VX experience for everyone involved.”

Crestron continues to build on its legacy of innovation in intelligent video, delivering solutions that make hybrid collaboration more engaging and effective. AutoMeasure enhances Automate VX, which provides dynamic multi-camera switching based on active speakers, by ensuring system accuracy and performance from day one. Together, these tools create more equitable meeting experiences, enabling every participant to be clearly seen and heard.

The AutoMeasure kits will begin shipping early next month, when the AutoMeasure feature becomes available as part of the Intelligent Video Room Designer tool.
