NILES, IL, June 11, 2015 –Shure Incorporated announced that it will continue its successful partnership with the Montreux Jazz Festival this year as technical partner for the event and headline sponsor of the Shure Montreux Jazz Voice Competition. The 49th annual festival will take place July 3–18, 2015.

Established to encourage talented young vocalists internationally, the Shure Montreux Jazz Voice Competition was founded in 2002. The final stages of this year’s competition will be held July 15-16, 2015, in the Petit Theater at the Montreux Palace Hotel.

One hundred vocalists from 37 countries submitted entries for this year’s competition. Ten entrants were selected by the competition jury, presided over by respected jazz and soul singer Al Jarreau. They will compete in the semi-final round on July 15, from which three finalists will be chosen to move on to the final round the next day.
